Maria Cecilia Baij

Maria Cecilia Baij was Benedictine abbess of the monastery of San Pietro in Montefiascone, Italy, from 1743 to 1746. She saw the life of Jesus in visions and wrote down these revelations in a book which she called "The Inner Life of Jesus”. 

In moving words, Christ explained to the nun Maria Cecilia Baij why He shared with us the deepest thoughts of His heart during His earthly life:

 "The account of My Interior Life will be of great comfort and spiritual benefit to you. I want you to make an effort to imitate Me in all that I have revealed to you thus far. Through you, a great number of people shall come to know and revere My heart.” 

  Thus, Jesus had revealed His inner life to a Benedictine woman nearly 250 years ago, the thoughts of His heart, His innermost disposition, His relationship with the                                                                                                                                                      Father.

We learn how Christ prayed to the Father in heaven, how He was eager to fulfill His will and to pray for all people, but also to give thanks again and again for all the graces received.

Maria Cecilia Baij reports on the revelations: "I only heard what Jesus Christ in His mercy revealed to me. It was dictated to me by an inner voice, which happened in a wonderful and special way. It is a spoken and yet spiritual communication."

Mit ergreifenden Worten erklärte Christus der Ordensschwester Maria Cecilia Baij, warum er uns an den tiefsten Gedanken seines Herzens zur Zeit seines irdischen Lebens teilhaben lässt: 

«Die Schilderung meines Innenlebens wird dir zu großem Trost und geistlichem Nutzen gereichen. Ich will, dass du dich bemühst, mich nachzuahmen in alledem, was ich dir bisher geoffenbart habe. Durch dich soll eine große Zahl von Menschen mein Herz kennen lernen und es verehren.»

Jesus hatte also vor ungefähr 250 Jahren einer Benediktinerin sein Innenleben geoffenbart, die Gedanken seines Herzens, seine innerste Gesinnung, sein Verhältnis zum Vater.

Wir erfahren, wie Christus zum Vater im Himmel gebetet hat, wie er darauf brannte, seinen Willen zu erfüllen und für alle Menschen zu bitten, aber auch für alle empfangenen Gnaden immer wieder zu danken.

Maria Cecilia Baij berichtet zu den Offenbarungen: “Ich habe nur das vernommen, was Jesus Christus in Seiner Huld mir geoffenbart hat. Es wurde mir diktiert von einer inneren Stimme, was in einer wunderbaren und besonderen Weise geschah. Es handelt sich um eine ausgesprochene und dennoch geistige Mitteilung.”

Con palabras conmovedoras, Cristo explicó a la religiosa hermana María Cecilia Baij por qué nos permite compartir los pensamientos más profundos de su corazón en el momento de su vida terrenal:

"La descripción de Mi Vida Interior será de gran consuelo y beneficio espiritual para ti. Yo quiero que te esfuerces en imitarme en todo lo que Yo te he revelado hasta ahora. A través de ti, un gran número de personas llegará a conocer y venerar Mi corazón".

Hace unos 250 años, por lo tanto, Jesús había revelado su vida interior a una benedictina, los pensamientos de su corazón, sus sentimientos más íntimos, su relación con el Padre.

Descubrimos cómo Cristo rezaba al Padre que está en los cielos, cómo estaba ansioso por cumplir su voluntad y por rezar por todos los hombres, pero también por dar gracias una y otra vez por todas las gracias recibidas.

Con parole toccanti, Cristo ha spiegato alla religiosa sorella Maria Cecilia Baij il perché Egli ci permette di condividere i pensieri più profondi del suo cuore nel tempo della sua vita terrena:

"Il racconto della mia vita interiore ti sarà di grande conforto e porterà beneficio spirituale. Voglio che ti sforzi ad imitarmi in tutto ciò che lo ti ho rivelato finora. Attraverso di te un gran numero di persone potrà conoscere e venerare il mio cuore".

Quindi Gesù circa 250 anni fa, aveva rivelato a una benedettina la sua vita interiore, i pensieri del suo cuore, i suoi sentimenti più intimi, il suo rapporto con il Padre.

Scopriamo come Cristo pregava il Padre nei cieli, come ardeva dalla voglia di compiere la sua volontà e di pregare per tutti gli uomini, ma anche come ringraziava sempre per tutte le grazie ricevute.

Maria Cecilia Baij riferisce nelle rivelazioni: "Ho percepito solo quello che Gesù Cristo, nella sua grazia, mi ha rivelato. Mi è stato dettato da una voce interiore, ed è avvenuto in un modo meraviglioso e speciale. Si trattava di una comunicazione verbale ma al tempo stesso spirituale".
